i started the sectional timing project, I tried Phumelela and hit a brick wall, then I approached GH of GC who said they are interested, i paid for the Argentinians to fly to SA, gave them an agreed upfront dollar amount then introduced them to GC, later I heard that it was decided that it would be too expensive to pay in dollars so I then introduced a local company who have worked on it until now, the agreement has always been that Formgrids will get the info, GH even stated that on TT quite a while ago

Thank you Mr A, you've been trying your heart out to help this industry in so many ways it's criminal to see how difficult it is for the Top Brass to grasp.
Even though a lot of owners, trainers jockeys and to a certain extend punters sing your praises

Thanks Mister A. Please excuse my ignorance, but If Phumelela declinded and GC accepted, why is the JHB tracks ready before the kzn tracks?

Will Formgrids be showing the sectional times?

There was some timer on the Scottsville card when i was watching on the clean feed

Very basic just a clock, no sectionals during the race like the yank racing

I certainly hope so, it was the agreement from the start and GH confirmed it on TT

Interesting that sectional times are only useful if they are available to the public.
Why has the availability not ever got a mention other than the info supplied now by mister a.
When the "new" computaform was launched it was obvious that no provision seemed to have been made to reflect sectional times.
Is this another example of racing's inability to align arse and elbow!

Racing needs more free and less pay... In its heyday commentaries were free on radio... this is information that the operator paid for with punters money and punters should therefore get it for nix.. I feel the same about teletrack streaming... that should be provided free to give more exposure to racing... The more free info you give punters the more money they have left to punt with and pools grow... The argument that it costs money to produce teletrack and sectional times fall flat when you consider that "dumb punters money" paid for it all...Formguides however use formulas and programs to find winners so their cost is justified

Any updates from those in the know regarding the sectional timing promised by the operators years ago or has it been dumped?
