Mr Eudey almost promised weeks if not days for Gold Circle while Mr Goosen swore eye witness testimony on/for Phumelela months ago, even last year.

Obviously it's just what they saw, but what did they see?

Promises, promises, promises. Maybe they all read trumps books?

We are talking about operators who have reduced the current net asset value of local horse racing by well over R2 billion in just over a decade!(gold circle by R400m with cwd and "P" with 4 courses(Bloem, Gosforth Park, N'market and Arlington)
What have we got in return? ......a long list of empty promises ...sectional timing is just one!

Rob I am afraid that you and others, do not seem to grasp the fact that Phumelela have done extraordinary well for their shareholders. If you or anyone else think that they care for anything but their own pockets then I am afraid you are extremely deluded. Phumelela have raped and pillaged South African racing to maximise the return to stakeholders, there is no way around this. They have no interest in the sport, nor the future of the sport. From an operational and returns point of view, local racing is a burden, and their bottom line would improve if it were discontinued. There is nothing ambiguous about what they have done and what direction they plan on continuing on.

Gold Circle is an old boys club with absolutely no game plan. It is inevitable that they will be acquired by Phumelela in the not too distant future.

OTA,you know from my rantings over the years that I am very aware of what you are saying .......and although I love my racing ,I am only involved as a punter now ,and as punters,we have many options ,most of which are looking better and better than the local unregulated product.
What I have been hoping for,is that the stakeholders with a vested interest like owners ,trainers ,breeders see the inevitable, and use their interest to stop the rot!
(eg. Recent sales suggest that lack of stakes is now affecting prices dramatically and the downward spiral is in full force!)
The first(and only) sign of any action so far, is the INDEPENDANT owners group in KZN.

Why dont we, ie the stakeholders, own shares in P? That way the "pillaging" is returned to racing's stakeholders. That way, some of our punting losses are returned to us ?

The biggest owner in P used to be or still is some subsidiary of the Racing Association. Hence, the big piece of the "pillaging" is still returned to racing.

Why the secrecy? Why not issue a press release saying testing is ongoing and launch date is xyz?

Any any idea where this information will be posted when it's launched ?

Looking at the at the races video it looks like a lot of work involved , maybe part of the TT streaming website ?

If you look at the sectional timing used for analysis purposes (Hong Kong website) it is downloaded into tables which are used for comparison purposes -interesting formulas are used to provide indicators for the purpose of predictions!
I will wait until they are providing sectional timing before I frustrate myself developing the way to include it in predictions!
