Rob, you could be right, anything is possible with those muppets.

How can any punter with half a brain cell have a bet when the final dividend is subject to such variation? What do Phumulela care anyway, as long as their bottom line goes up what do they care about punters getting shit payouts.

On the subject of Value/edge, this can be calculated by working out the difference between the price achieved against the subjective odds of winning i.e. if the price one achieves is 5/1 when the odds should actually be 5/2, the overlay/edge is 100%

Damn

Missed another one, deciphered too late to get on.

Race 4 Kenilworth Silver Apples 9/2 paid R 3,10 a win R 1 a place.

Using the Vietnamese cipher,

SILVER APPLES = SILVERAPPLES

FILLYE RBOOTS = FILL YER BOOTS

Remember, over 80% winners guaranteed !!!

Wow

Powerful stuff indeed. At this rate I can retire and live in Australia.

Race 6 Kenilworth High Waters paid R 3,40 a win R1 a place

Using Vietnamese cipher

HIGH WATERS
LUCK YHORSE = LUCKY HORSE

Remember, over 80% winners guaranteed.

There is an easy enough way to dispel these myths - release the times of the last winning(or losing bet) bet struck and the actual race time(It will be pretty easy to judge on a track like the Vaal sand where you have horses winning by a mile - if foreign punters are able to take "in-running bets" then they should hardly miss there.) An open audit of the past few weeks is vital to clear up the Tote's name and credibility. I agree with some of the other posters - if you are an owner you should now be asking the question Will stakes go up drastically as it is your training fees and your assets that are being used to create this revenue.

easy & rob faux:

Well, it's hit the Citizen 'Noticeboard' page; April Fool's day a tardy early for this newspaper?

How can a newspaper regurgitate such crap?

The price of tomatoes; "Given that huge amounts of tomatoes are planted in the last few days of spring, it's unavoidable that the price on the floor will change once plucked and once the weatherman does his final jig.

Further, whilst we constantly monitor the flow of tomatoes, and it is hoped that as the supply increases, the impact of last-minute plucking will diminish.

Tomato customers should also note that there will be unusual price fluctuations from time to time because some housewives purchase substantial kilos of tomatoes on their lucky numbers, which can often be influenced by their menstrual cycle; more and more wives are giving up Faafi in pursuit of numbers in tomatoes. Many are even beginning to look like over-ripe tomatoes!

Who knows; next, the fu..ating price of condoms?"

Govt should be called upon to declare commingling illegal!

Every aspect of this game is in serious trouble..we all know why...why moan just about the tote:
Put up banner
1. Breeders and Auctions

2.Training facilities

3.Fees and Vet Bills

4.State of the off-course totes

5.The "invisible stakes agreement"

6.Comingling

7.Bookies %s

etc etc

We can all blantently see there is something very very wrong with the tote payouts..how many of us will accept the "lucky numbers story" just like we accept all the stuff thet goes on with the above??
