How big was the win Pool for the race Scotia?

Is it a case of 2 bananas to 1 banana?(Barney Curley)

There is another cracker for the boys.

Wonder how they found out in Cambodia that "Enchanted" was the right one? Was quoted at 11/2 (before the scratching) but went off at R2-70 on the tote!!!

Mind you if you read form where you don't get any idea of race type or competition then her form looks great.....think of it as if reading the form from a Citizen newspaper TYPE...

last four runs....finished 4, 2, 2, 3.........Not bad form right?

Draw your own conclusions

The only conclusion I can reach is that this commingling crap should stop. Until it is made to work properly. One is faced with the reality that these horses are being backed after the race. I am no expert but I can find no other rational explanation. Lucky numbers my arse. Sorry for the language.

How about today's first race in PE?

At the off, the favourite was paying R1.5 for a win. After it won, the odds changed to R1.3!

I shouldn't complain. These fools are making Tote win betting wholly unattractive and playing right into the hands of bookmakers. But for the good of racing this is a frightening state of affairs.

Magic,

As I had a investment in race 5 I watched the tote board very carefully. I wanted to know who the tote favourite was as I had Russian Lace in my PA. The funny thing was that the eventual winner was already paying R2-70 a win even before they had jumped, or just on the off. It had not changed from that final price. Do they have clearvoyants (sic) in these other countries???

The form was there.......for people who only see numbers.

I still don't think there is any funny business, but I can't explain exactly whats happening. I agree that it should be put on hold until the punters can be satisfied!

Enchanted may have been genuine. But all of them? I can't help but feel that something is slipping through the net big time.

I think we agree on one basic thing here....the punters are getting a raw deal. Whether founded or unfounded.

When the favourites win, they pay shorter on the tote. When the second or third favourites win, then they pay shorter on the tote too.

The punters are no longer getting any value for money. In fact they are almost always taking odds way under the starting price. This is going to cost P, as the people who don't have access to bookmakers will not punt on the tote anymore.

Then P will only take bets from overseas people, no commission, no funny business.....

What a joke!

So many winners are now paying under the SP that only one explanation rises up and hits me in the chops. Luck has nothing to do with it and nobody is that good at finding winners. Unless they have already won. I defy P to prove me wrong by offering an explanation that doesn't insult the intelligence of my dog. Uxtil then I have to adopt the Sherlock Holmes dictum that when every other explanation can be dismissed the one that remains must be the truth.
