Whats the big deal......there are only so many horses in Kim...the horses that werw supposed to run today are probably 90% of the horses that would have been nominated anyway

Another disgraceful decision for Flamingo Park. We had 14mm rain yesterday. The trainers and the track manager had a meeting at 4 yesterday afternoon. The track was not very wet and it was promised to put 4 tractors on and that we would make a decision at 4.30 this morning before the famous "bus" leaves. It started raining lightly (only lasted 30 min) at 5 and at 5.15 we received a message that racing for today was cancelled. Why we could'nt wait till this morning is a mystery. Flamingo Park trainers are on their knees. It is now time for me to decide if I must carry on with racing. I must get up at 3.15 in the morning, work my ass off 7 days a week and then an ex-trainer who could'nt make a success of his own business, must make decisions that determines my income. Although the final decision was made by Phumelela, he gave them his opinion on the condition of the track.

Titch wrote: As much as this is disappointing for the owners/trainers/jockeys etc the loss of today's meeting was completely out of the operator's hands...I was amazed to receive this sms at 6 am today, imo a great initiative by the operators to compensate those who were unable to race today and I may add the first time in my 45 years of racing that acceptances have ever been limited to runners from a lost meeting...credit were credit is due, well done to the operator for this unprecedented course of action...(y)
N.B. Flpk 13-Feb, Entries re-opened for carded horses only from Sun 05-Feb. Entries cls at 9 on Mon 06-Feb

What credit is due??????? I ask cliffie miller to ask them if we can enter todays carded runners and to make every meeting a 10 race card until we caught up on schedule . It wasnt jay's idea and i really doubt if he would have ever think about it if he wasnt ask. Its the same jay that didnt do his job by making sure his staff book a bus on monday and the same jay that cancelled todays meeting because of financial reasons apparently because he couldnt wait until this morning 4:30am to get clearance from the trackmanager and trainers (who inspected the track 4pm yesterday and gave the go ahead for racing today) to re-inspect only if it rained during the night.

Bob was send the video and photos taken at 7pm last night when it already started clearing up and the video and photos of this morning. You will be your own judge..... not one jockey , owner, trainer or punter or phumelela representitive could argue that its disgusting call to cancell.

Still no apology for the bus fiasko or explanation and clearly incompetency show up bigtime
