Yeah good delete button! So they call off the meeting and the trainers are pissed off and could clearly have raced. Titch you and I have been around a long time but I'm not sure how you all of a sudden arrived back to defend this when clearly mrs Miller is telling us that the weather is not the reason for calling it off. Ziets has also now mentioned names so wouldn't be suprised if the chief ringmaster gets hold of him for bringing racing into disrepute. The circus and the clowns continue on their merry way and the people who keep the game going are treated as if they don't exist. It's just pathetic to say the least.

This week has not been any worse than the last 10 years!
The real concern is that regulation and the Tote (no TAB no SA Racing!!!) is in the hands of this lot too.

Yeah Rob I remember a discussion with you on a day about 3 years back over a few drinks and to be honest nothing has really changed. It had in fact got worse as you correctly predicted. But as long as overseas feeds and sport get the shareholders the returns then rest assured the punters and owners and local racing means nothing in the bigger picture. And that is sad and pathetic.

Now how can anybody call off the meeting if he is not even at the track ??????? Any everyone at the track said its all good, if and only if it rains during the night we will do an inspection at 4:30 am again and let them know.
Most disgraceful and the irony is that they cancell the meeting that was postponed because of the incompetency not being able to book a bus!!!!!!!!
And i will bet they wont show up at racing tomorrow and face up to the people and community they run into the ground. Unacceptable .
Anybody have robert bloomberg contact nr ? , i truely believe he can give us advice. Their must be laws in place to take this to court .

unfortunately no court in the world will side with you Ziets as all the operator has to say is that in their opinion the track was unfit for racing on as horses and riders could have been injured.

No bob, its not raining and its clearing , that clouds means as much as an apology from the operator will mean.
I will take photos and video again within an hour when at the track.
Quite ironic that i worked our horses that was suppose to run today on the inside heavier training track this morning and it was all good, heavy but all good.

Any owner who feels aggrieved that his horses could not race on a track that, judging from the pictures posted, would be a death trap does not deserve to own horses, this race at any cost approach makes my stomach turn...disgraceful

It is a well known FACT that the operators do not make the final decision as to the meeting being canceled or proceeding, that is the duty of the track manager..MissT having been around for a long time surely surely surely you could not be in favor of risking both horse and rider by trying to get through a 10 race card on a track that is clearly unraceable...Only 2 certainties would have come out of it a) Injuries at best fatalities at worst and 10000000000% the meeting could not have been completed and as fafi eluded to before he got shot down in flames punters would have done there money in cold blood today...

Care to elaborate on what you are insinuating with this statement??
as for your "clearly could have raced " statement, that would be laughable if it wasn't so heartless...
