MAGIC,around 1972,73 WILLIAM PENN had been brought back from stud and had been nominated for the main race of the day at milnerton,Garth Puller in the saddle,Willie Klebb the conditioner which he duly won at a ripe old age.The amazing moment of the meeting other than his win was that one of his babies won the 1st race on the day

Correct tangles the juvenile was called Just William......on the oldest jock to win a grade 1 I believe locally it could be Stanley Amos or Joe Byrnes who won the Greyville 1900 on a horse for Claude Allen??

If my memory serves me correctly Sentinal won 14 races was beaten over 2000m after sprinting hiss entire carreer at Greyville when going for what would have then been an SA record not sure how many he won after that....

Horse with most starts?

Buddy surely holds the record. Seem to remember one of his with 140 starts.
I think George Scott also has had one who reached his ton.

Sentinal, now that brings back some memories.Who remembers when Harry Hotspur took on the great Sentinal in a sprint at Milnerton.Those days Harry was trained by Colin Palm and ridden by Garth P.Sentinal was ridden by Muis.The whole week people were talking about nothing else exept which horse was going to win.Sentinal won but it was a great run by Harry Hotspur.Another
