Thanx for info on rain forest ab.I think oldest to win G1 in recent yrs has to be golden loom at age 9 or 10.

It was actually called the Golden Horse when he won it in 2001, and yes he was an 8yo.
He then won the Gr2 Senor Santa as a 10yo, and was also 3rd in the Gollden Horse of 2003 as a 10yo before being retired at the end of that year.
Amazing stuff. Nowadays he would have gone to Dubai as a 4yo!

Madame Jones ran 101 times in her career,as a six year old she ran an incredible 61 Times winning 12 times..STATS

William Penn went to stud and the came back a few years later to run against one of his daughters if I remember..

Well done to Vicky Minott riding out her claim..
Has there been many south african girls ride out thier claim?
Only been 2 or 3 in the uk done it,but im sure it`s a 100 winners over here.
Alex greeves and Hayley turner..Don`t thin Kirsty Milkshake rode out her claim,there is one other but can`t think atm..

There was a racecourse in Manchester so that seems obvious enough. The Scottish Grand National is a bit harder, I know there was a defunct racecourse in Scotland...was it called Lanark by any chance?
With my knowledge of UK geography Lanarkshire is probably in Wales if it even exists at all, but I'll take the chance. Lol.

Bogside for the Scottish National,and Manchester racecourse,for the november handicap,had a few years at pontefract before ending up at Doncaster..

Ah yes, Bogside. Maybe it's just as well it went belly up with a name like that...
While we're on the subject of deceased UK racecourses maybe Hibernia or someone can name two London-area tracks which closed down after WW2. (There may be more, but I do know of two).
