JOCKEYS CONTROL RACING

Oners in durban were rare and the reason being was that there were too many appies riding in that province,It was and still is the cleanest racing center.Cape Town was where a lot of graft was taken place like for instance this notion of very slow run races opened the door for a lot of skulduggery,allowing horses to get so far in front that the rest of the field had no chance of catching them,Another move was if it was a small field running in a distance race was crawling along the back stretch and then allowing the backed one to sprint away knowing that the fav was left dead in the water as he was an out and out stayer

There was a time in Cape Town when the Mafia ran racing.Jockeys were not sleeping well,shivering in there boots,tipping to the mafia not a good move,bad things happened,jockeys in CT got a wake up call.

Thanks guys for all these stories,it really helps cos I'm clean for two weeks and some of the stories here motivate me not burn my money anymore! I'm gone sour to the game and the money that I used to loose now goes straight into my bond account. My wife smiles when she sees the ammount borrowed decreasing and gives me the best ride I can hope for hehe

funny what you are discussing.there are so many precdent cases, how can someone think, that a sport with animal is "clean"?
how muchcontrolling is in the races, we will never find out.

for me, the trainer are worse, because they are preparing the horses to win or not. every trainer should assess the chances of his horse before the race, that would be really transparent

Its not a big bond but losing 1k a day over 14days does make a diff to a small bond

South African racing, have there been any jocks banned for a long time, for example 1 or 2 years?
